Research

My current research focuses on the following topics:

(a) The study of quasar outflows and their importance in providing a feedback mechanism for kinetic energy injection into the intergalactic medium (IGM) and the investigation of the role

these outflows play in the coevolution of black holes and their host galaxies.

  1. (b)The use of the microlensing technique and

modeling of the relativistic Fe Ka line to directly probe the accretion disk and space time geometry near the event horizon of a supermassive black hole.

(c) The study of the properties and evolution of active galactic nuclei (AGN).

(d) The study of narrow absorption line (NAL) quasars with high velocity outflows to test existing models of the nature of NAL quasars.

  1. (e) The use of gravitational lensing to constrain cosmological parameters.
